Black Cat | Ritual Oil

Despite what the name might suggest, Black Cat Oil has nothing to do with hexing. In folk magic — including the cunning craft traditions I carry from my Romani roots on the Iberian Peninsula — the black cat is a symbol of protection and good fortune, not misfortune.

Black cats have long been misunderstood. Far from being omens of bad luck, in many traditions they are powerful symbols of protection, magic and good fortune. This oil was blended to harness exactly that energy — drawing good luck toward you while banishing the bad and creating a shield against misfortune.

Use it when you need luck on your side, when bad fortune seems to be following you, or whenever you want to tip the odds in your favour.

This is a working oil, not just a scent — it contains naturally shed black cat fur (collected with care from my black cat; no animal harmed) and steel wool, iron being one of the oldest and most trusted materials in folk magic for warding off ill will and unwanted spirits. Together, they make this a genuinely protective, luck-drawing blend: closing the door on jealousy and bad energy while opening it to good fortune.

How to use it:

• Anoint candles before protection or luck spellwork
• Dab on doorways or windowsills to guard your home
• Wear on clothes before situations where you want luck on your side (patch test first)
• Add a few drops to a protection sachet or spell bag of your own making
